Our baby boy turned 7 month old today in Korea. We heard news last week that his hearing test had been redone and both of his ears are normal. This is a praise report, originally they has said he failed his initial hearing test on his left ear. They also sent us his 6 month measurements. He is weighing in at 15 1/2 pounds and is 26 1/2 inches long.
We are currently making frequent trips to Lowe's to get just the "right" color for Drew's safari room! Who knew how hard picking out a color would become?! So far we've had glacier blue, sauteed mushroom, and now some kind of maple. Fortunately for me they sell those little paint cans in 1/2 pint size so I can play around!
This time around I settled for a store bought bedding set in a safari theme. My mom made Malia and Cole's bedding set and she was willing to do so with Drew, but I could not find any material here in Tulsa that I just loved. I am a bit disappointed but have decided to have her make him a few bumper pillows to sleep with since my other two adore their "Nana bumpers".
We are still waiting on our I-600 approval and I am guessing it may take a few more weeks to reach my mail box.
I pray tonight (in Korea) our little man is happy and healthy in the loving care of his foster mother. Lord, we thank you for Drew and all the plans you have for his life. We thank you in advance for your perfect timing with Drew's homecoming and we ask that you bless everyone who are helping bring Drew and our family together. We are overwhelmed with gratitude.
Amen

My new niece....
Welcome to the world Elleny Suzanna Joy!!!
Yesterday, at 7:33a.m. God blessed my kid sister and her husband with a beautiful baby girl. She was 8 lbs 2oz and 21 inches long.
Kendel had a rough labor but looking at that sweet face, I'm sure it will all soon be a distant memory.
We are so thankful for Elleny and we know she will do great things for the Kingdom.
We love you sweetpea...and your cousin Malia is so happy to have another girl join the family!

Rick Springfield in concert!!
Oh my....true confession time. I am a unapologetic Rick Springfield fan. He has been my heartthrob since 1983 and I know the words to just about every single one of his songs. I have seen him perform 4 times in the course of my life and each time is more thrilling than the time before! My interest in him started in 5th grade. My friend and I use to make up dances to his songs that were (in our minds) MTV worthy.
For my birthday, my sister and parents bought me 3rd row seats to see him. My BFF Tracie, came along and we totally rocked out to Ricky baby singing all of his hits including "What kind a fool am I" and of course "Jesse's Girl". For a moment last night, I was 10 again and danced like nobody was watching...bliss!

Guess What???!!!!
Chad and I are crazy - OVER THE MOON - proud to announce our new son, Drew Do Hyeon!! My goodness, I cannot wait to get my hands on that sweet boy!!!!!
Drew is currently 6 months old and was born one day after Chad's birthday, January 26th 2008. So, when you take into account the time difference, when we were celebrating Chad's birthday here in Tulsa, sweet Drew had been born in a university hospital in Chonan, South Korea...crazy, huh? God is so faithful, even in the small details. I have prayed with each of our children's birthdays, that I know where and what I was doing on that specific day. He has answered my prayer faithfully each and every time...God is sooo good!
Now comes the unbearable part of the wait....the wait to travel call...ugh! Our agency tells us that we can expect to wait anywhere from 3-6 months to travel. We are praying and believing we will be home with Drew by Thanksgiving.
Our agency already had Drew's legals to begin the visa process with our USCIS office. This is great news, as this is the last thing Chad and I responsible for on our end. The bad news is that this is the last thing we are responsible for and now we have nothing (with the exception of praying) to "do" to help get Drew home any faster.
Next step...stalking my mailman for I-600 approval from USCIS and begin to prepare Drew's room for PAINTING!
God is good!
